Jack White has new music on its way, and just like the musician himself it’s hard to describe and full of twists and turns.
On Tuesday (Dec. 12), White announced that he has a new record, Boarding House Ranch, with a four-minute clip showing off the range and variety of sounds and vibes that are sure to come on the next record.
While the 42-year-old singer didn’t tease anything else about the album, like when it will drop, we do know that it will be the first album from him since 2014’s Lazaretto.
The announcement video features everything from fake hands and a side profile to a drum set and gloves holding a microphone, while the sound is unique and all over the place. You can hear drum kit beats, white noise, funky acoustic blues, piano sections and so much more.
At one point you can hear White rapping as more artsy images fly across the screen. The whole announcement is artistic and and a little bit trippy, and honestly we’d expect nothing less from White.
As of now we might not know when Boarding House Ranch will be released, but we do know it’s going to be one wild ride.
