In 2017, Niall Horan released his debut solo record, Flicker, which was a massive success. Come 2018, however, he’s planning to work on his sophomore record — even while touring.

Now that Horan has gotten a taste of what’s it’s like to be a solo act he has no plans to stop. Instead, he’s already vowed to begin his second record despite the fact that he’s set to begin his first world tour next year.

“I’d say over the course of the year I’ll start writing,” Horan told the Daily Star via NME. “With jamming at sound checks and things like that, things always come up – little riffs and bits and pieces.”

Clearly being on tour for his Flicker World Tour — which is the follow up to his 2017 Flicker Sessions performances — is not going to get in the way of the “Slow Hands” singer making more amazing songs to sing and dance along to.

The good news about Horan’s plans to work on his sophomore record in 2018 is that it means fans will most likely get a taste of new music from the Irish crooner sooner rather than later!

Knowing that Horan is not only going to be performing all over the world next year, but that he is also going to be writing and recording while traveling is pretty much music to our ears.
