Get ready, Alanis Morissette fans, because if you’re lucky you could actually see her perform live next year!
Although Morissette isn’t going to be on a full-length tour in 2018, she has just announced a few dates in Ireland, and if you find yourself across the pond next year, you should totally check her out.
As of this week, the Canadian singer announced that she is heading to Ireland for two shows next summer, and tickets go on sale next week. She will be taking the stage at Live at the Marquee in Cork on July 4th, followed by a show at Iveagh Gardens in Dublin on July 5, 2018, Ireland’s Independent reports. You can get your tickets on Ticketmaster for both shows on Monday, December 18, 2017, so mark your calendars!
While the singer has yet to announce a new record (her last full-length album was Havoc and Bright Light was released back in 2012) — the fact that she’s going on the road — even for two shows — is a positive sign.
Plus, back in November the “Ironic” singer did tease that she was working on new music, so perhaps her Ireland shows will serve as the perfect place to debut a few to her diehard fans.
“Writing again. #piano with @catminority #cantstop #somuchtoexpress #22songs ⚡️,” Morissette tweeted at the time, and now we really want to know if these songs are heading our way come 2018… alongside more shows and a full-length tour. We can dream right?
If you aren’t in Ireland in 2018, and can’t wait until Morissette does drop new music, there is one other country that the “You Oughta Know” singer will be in next year… Australia. Beginning on January 20, 2018 Morissette will be touring in a few Australian cities and New Zealand towns. For more information on those shows click here.
