Season 7 of Once Upon a Time has been different to say the least, but that doesn’t mean that fan favorites such as Snow White and Prince Charming won’t return at some point… thank goodness.
As Once Upon a Time fans know, the season 6 finale of the fairytale series switched a lot of things up, especially when it came to casting. The show’s lead, Emma Swan (played by Jennifer Morrison) left the show, in addition to her on-screen parents, Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) who also left the show as regulars.
That being said, the new, revamped series does have a few familiar faces including the Evil Queen, aka Regina, and now Roni (played by Lana Parrilla), Captain Hook, now Rogers (played by Colin O’Donoghue), and Rumpelstiltskin, aka Mr. Gold, and now Weaver (played by Robert Carlyle). The good news is that if you’re a lover of Snow White and Prince Charming, they may be making their way to Hyperion Heights and joining their old pals from Storybrooke sooner or later.
“We remain very, very close with [Josh Dallas and Ginnifer Goodwin]. They are two of our dearest friends,” executive producer Eddy Kitsis told TV Guide. “I think the fun thing about Once Upon a Time is people can come in and out even when they’re dead, meaning that the world is always open for people to return. Whether it will be this year or not, we’re not sure yet. I definitely think we’ll see some familiar faces in the second half of the season.”
While Kitsis didn’t tell us when the two fairytale lovebirds could be making an appearance, he didn’t rule out their return which is definitely good news. As for those other “familiar faces” that he teased when the show returns from its winter break, the possibilities are endless.
Perhaps Ariel, or Red Riding Hood will make an appearance, or we could see Zelena again. Plus, who wouldn’t want a Robin Hood flashback in the future? We sure do! And of course we are rooting for Snow and Charming to head to the Washington area soon as well.
Once Upon a Time returns March 2, 2018 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
