What’s better than an all-new episode of Scandal or How to Get Away With Murder? Having a crossover episode of the two shows, that’s what!

TGIT fans get ready, because Shonda Rhimes is combining two of your favorite series together for a crossover event of epic proportions and both of the series’ leading ladies couldn’t be happier about the idea.

On Wednesday (Jan. 3), speculation that a crossover was in the works began to surface after both Kerry Washington and Viola Davis posted teaser photos from one another’s sets. Luckily, their excitement and teasers have now been confirmed by Rhimes, and fans are totally on board with this crossover!

“Hey @KerryWashington, guess where I am?!” Davis tweeted along with a photo in the Oval Office, where Scandal’s Olivia Pope takes care of business.

Of course Davis wasn’t the only one hanging out on a different set today, and sending her fans into a frenzy over the TV collaboration news. Washington was also visiting a very different locale, and the court house suits her.

“Hey Ms @violadavis ❤️ check it out. This spot look familiar?! Where are you?” Washington shared on Twitter with her own picture. This time we see Washington on a bench in a courthouse, aka How to Get Away With Murder character Annalise Keating’s home turf.

To make things even better, Rhimes put all of her fans at ease by tweeting out a page of the script for this crossover event, proving that it is, in fact, in the works. “People. It’s happening. @petenowalk, you ready for this? #TGITCrossover #HowtoGetAwaywithScandal,” the two shows’ creator wrote, and yes, we are ready for it.

The crossover will happen this season on both series, which will give fans another reason to tune in for Scandal’s seventh and final season (which is already a few episodes in). Plus, with these two powerhouse women entering each other’s worlds, your TGIT viewing party is bound to get even better.

How To Get Away With Murder and Scandal both return on January 18, 2018 on ABC.
