Pitch Perfect 3 came out last month and although we love that there is another installment of this aca-awesome franchise, the original Pitch Perfect still holds a special place in our hearts.

Sure, it’s been five years since the a cappella film was first released and we met the Barden Bellas and The Treblemakers, but it’s still amazing and has us wanting more from all of the movie’s stars. The good news is that Skylar Astin, aka Jesse from the first two films, recently posted unseen footage from a Treblemakers rehearsal in the first film, and it almost makes us forget that these guys aren’t in the new movie… almost.

“FBF to this never before seen rehearsal footage of PP1! Featuring an invisible @bensplatt (who was probably at a fitting or something) 🎤,” Astin captioned the series of videos on Instagram.

We’re not sure where Ben Platt (who plays Benji) is either, but the footage of your favorite a cappella guys rehearsing, dancing, singing and being total pros is just so good that we’ll forgive Platt for not being there.

When it comes to this Instagram footage, there are four video clips from the dance studio where the men of Pitch Perfect practiced these epic scenes all together, and while we love the finished product, the rehearsal somehow endears us to these actors even more. Maybe if the Barden Bellas don’t return for a fourth Pitch Perfect film we can get a Treblemakers spinoff movie — it’s a long shot, but with this much talent it would be totally worth it.

PS: there are two women in the rehearsal crew for the Treblemakers, and they can definitely run with the boys! They aren’t Bellas, but they are fierce and make us want to take a dance class, stat.

Which of the behind-the-scenes rehearsal clips is your favorite?
