If you’ve ever wondered what could be better than watching Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks in a movie together, we’ve got the answer… watching these actors perform one another’s iconic lines!

This week, the two stars from The Post stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show and of course the show’s host, Ellen DeGeneres, had one of her fun games ready for them. It all started when DeGeneres asked both Streep and Hanks which of their co-star’s films were their all-time favorites.

“My favorite one? Oh man. Immediately I though Sully, Bridge of Spies, because those are the most recent ones,” Streep answered, after taking some time to think about it. “I really love Charlie Wilson’s War, and I really love Forrest Gump.”

As for Hanks’ favorite Streep performances, he had a few as well. “Well, you run the gamut with her, because there’s something like The Devil Wears Prada,” he said. “I would go with Sophie’s Choice. And also, when she played the Iron Lady. I don’t know how you do that,” he added.

After the two famous stars gushed about one another’s careers, DeGeneres gave them the task of recreating famous lines from each other’s films. Streep kicked it off with Forrest Gump, and her rendition of “life is like a box of chocolates” was too funny.

Hanks channeled his inner Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada next, but it was the last two performances that really had the crowd laughing. Streep was gifted a Woody hat, and perfectly yelled, “YOU ARE A TOY” which is one of Hanks’ best Toy Story moments of all time.

Hanks finished off the game by putting on a wig a la Margaret Thatcher from The Iron Lady, and looked right into the camera to create even more suspense and drama with his lines. The whole game was perfection, and we could watch these two role play all day.
