Meghan Trainor has a lot of things to look forward to and focus on this year, including celebrating her engagement, and releasing a new record.
“The sound of the new album is pumping. It just sounds big and loud,” Trainor told Parade when talking about her next record.
Trainor has always been a songwriter and singer, and now she’s getting her family in on the action, and we can’t wait to hear what they have to offer on this album.
“I have my family members singing on every single song. I haven’t talked about this yet; it’s exciting,” she explained. “My entire family is singing on every song because I wanted big vocal songs. So, there’s no such thing as a quiet little love song. They’re all big, in your face, booming, kind of ’80s but soulful. I’m very proud of them, and my father is playing on a song.”
The “I’m a Lady” singer also teased a few love songs on the album, which she said were inspired by her fiancé Daryl Sabara.
“This is one of those magical love stories, so I wrote a lot about that and a lot of my other stuff, love yourself and be happy in life,” she added.
It’s still unknown as to when we will hear Trainor’s new songs, but you can currently watch her on The Four: Battle for Stardom on Thursdays at 8 p.m. on FOX — she’s one of the judges — so it should tide you over until her record drops.
