Can you believe it’s been 10 years since 27 Dresses came out? Katherine Heigl can’t and neither can we!

In honor of the 10th anniversary of the hilarious and adorable rom-com, Heigl chatted with InStyle about what she thinks Jane would be up to today, and it’s good.

Although there isn’t a sequel on the books right now, Heigl, who played the “always a bridesmaid, never a bride” character of Jane in the iconic film, has an idea for a sequel and we just love it.

“I have this whole concept that I really want them to do a sequel about. I think that maybe it’s not 10 years later in their relationship, maybe it’s only 5 or 6 years, but she’s not getting pregnant,” Heigl told InStyle. “She’s everybody’s godmother, but she doesn’t have her own. I so want to do that sequel,” she explained. “I think it would be really sweet and charming and interesting.”

We are so on board for this! Couldn’t you imagine Jane having to act as a babysitter to her “bridezilla” sister Tess’ kids in addition to all the tots of her friends while she is stressed about not having her own baby? It basically writes itself.

Fingers crossed we do get a sequel of 27 Dresses soon — ideally Heigl’s dream version — but in case it doesn’t happen we can always watch the original and rock out to the “Bennie and the Jets” scene, because like all of us, it is also Heigl’s favorite scene.

What’s your favorite scene from the movie, and what sort of sequel would you like from the 27 Dresses cast?
