Big Little Lies has had a massive following since it debuted on HBO in 2017, and now it’s getting the award recognition it deserves. After having two of its stars win an award (Nicole Kidman and Alexander Skarsgård) at the SAG Awards on Sunday (Jan. 21), and getting big honors at the 2018 Golden Globes, it’s no wonder fans are ready for season 2.

Luckily, the cast is officially doing a second season – after a lot of begging on the fans’ part and rumors sparked by the cast – and everyone seems to want in on the TV hit.

“I have been getting the most random calls from people, just like, ‘I’ll do anything, I’ll just do one thing, I’ll do anything!'” Reese Witherspoon told Entertainment Tonight at the 2018 SAG Awards.

Witherspoon, who stars as Madeline Mackenzie on Big Little Lies, and is also a producer on the series, is beyond excited that so many people have reacted in such a positive way to the series, which has a female-driven ensemble.

“And I’m like, that’s such a wonderful feeling as a producer, we had no idea that people would have this kind of response, it’s really lovely,” she added.

As for what you can expect to see on the second season, it’s still up in the air, but after ET reporter Keltie Knight asked about possible flashbacks next season, Witherspoon teased that she also liked the idea.

“That’s a good idea,” Witherspoon replied. “Very good idea,” Laura Dern, who plays Renata Klein on the series added.

What do you hope to see when Big Little Lies returns for a second season? Are there any actors you’d want to join the cast?
