This summer, fans of The Incredibles are finally getting the sequel they’ve been dreaming of… and there are a few new faces this time around.
Everyone’s favorite superhero family is back in action this summer, and luckily all of the stars will be reprising their roles. Craig T. Nelson will again be voicing Mr. Incredible (aka Bob Parr), Holly Hunter will return as Elastigirl (aka Helen Parr), and their children Violet (Sarah Vowell), Dashiell (Huck Milner) and Jack Jack will all be back. Samuel L. Jackson will joing them as Frozone (aka Lucius Best) and writer-director Brad Bird will reprise his role of the hilarious Edna Mode.
As for the newcomers, Disney has announced that Jonathan Banks and Sophia Bush will be joining in on the animated movie fun this time around. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Banks will be playing Rick Dicker, a government leader who helps the Parr family keep their superhero identities under wraps.
Bush on the other hand will be playing Voyd, who is a major fangirl of Elastigirl. She wants to be a superhero herself, and lucky for her she was blessed with the power of creating voids and making objects disappear. PS: she has blue hair.
Two other cast additions for the Incredibles sequel are Bod Odenkirk, who plays Winston Deaver, the leader of a telecommunications company who wants to bring the superheros out of hiding. His sister, Evelyn Deavor will be played by Catherine Keener, works with him and is a tech genius who loves to solve problems.
You can see all of these characters together when Incredibles 2 hits theaters this summer. This time the movie will focus on Elastigirl in the spotlight, while Mr. Incredible stays at home with the kids. Although they are still hiding their true identities, they must join forces with Frozone when a new villain comes into their lives and again save the world – even Jack Jack, who is still unaware of all of his powers.
Incredibles 2 hits theaters on June 15, 2018.
