Captain Marvel might not come out until 2019, but Brie Larson is already getting into character and learning a few superhero skills along the way.

On Tuesday (Jan. 23), Larson, who is set to play Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers, in the upcoming superhero film, shared a behind-the-scenes look at her training for the movie, and she looks so cool.

“Learning how to fly,” she captioned an image on herself dressed in a full pilot’s suit, helmet and parachute set.

In case you don’t know Carol Danvers’ backstory, she is an Air Force pilot, hence Larson’s new duds and training partners. In addition to learning to fly, Larson has been working on her pilot training and flying know-how for the film with the help of real-life Air Force members at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, and she seems to be fitting in really well.

Numerous pilots and soldiers on base have shared images of Larson in her different uniforms while training, and learning everything there is to know about fighter planes, and we’re pretty confident she’s going to nail this role.

While this is the first peek at the actress as Carol Danvers – at least training for the role – Larson has already begun getting into the Captain Marvel mood over the past couple of years. She’s been seen in a Captain Marvel costume, while reading a Captain Marvel comic, and most recently she donned a pair of custom Nike shoes – made for Captain Marvel.

Clearly, Larson isn’t waiting for production to begin on the superhero film to act, dress and train like a hero, and we are loving each and every teaser along the way.

Captain Marvel is set for a March 8, 2019 release.
