Dove Cameron is no stranger to the TV world having starred as both Liv and Maddie on Disney Channel’s Liv and Maddie for four seasons, but her next TV role is a big departure from her Disney days.

The Disney Channel darling is heading to ABC for a role on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and now thanks to Entertainment Weekly we finally have a look at her top-secret role. According to the publication, Cameron will be playing Ruby. Who is Ruby, you ask?

Well, she is “a young woman of cunning intelligence who has a mysterious obsession with Daisy Johnson.” Plus, she is the daughter of General Hale.

“Thanks @entertainmentweekly for the first look at my character Ruby on @agentsofshield. link in their bio for more info! 🥊⚔💋☠🥀💣🍒 can’t wait until everything else is revealed & you can see why i love marvel so much 🖤,” Cameron wrote on Instagram sharing the same EW exclusive image.

Cameron first teased her role on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. back in November with a fun video alongside Clark Gregg (who plays Agent Coulson), and she later shared an interview of her new cast mates not revealing anything about her character, and it’s been so frustrating.

While we still don’t know too much about Cameron’s character, Ruby, we do know that she will be joining the cast starting this spring. According to the show’s executive producer Jed Whedon, “the role she’s playing, she’s not an obvious fit for,” which again leaves us with more questions than answers.

To see the Descendants star as Ruby, tune into Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. beginning March 2, 2018.
