‘Descendants’ Star Joins ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Spinoff

Just when you thought the Pretty Little Liars spinoff, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, couldn’t get any better, it added Sofia Carson to its cast, and we’re so excited about the news.

While we’re still a little bummed that all of the Liars won’t be a part of this new series, we’re happy to report that the Descendants star will be joining Alison (Sasha Pieterse) and Mona (Janel Parrish) when The Perfectionists takes over Freeform – and most likely dominates our TV watching time.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Carson is set to play Ava, who is a trendsetting blogger and coder, who wants to be a fashion icon, and is of course beautiful.

“Secrets out. I’m a PRETTY. LITTLE. LIAR. @PLLTVSeries @FreeformTV @imarleneking,” Carson tweeted on Monday (Jan. 29) alongside a fun video of herself on set for the series.

We don’t know about you but based on Carson’s ensemble and perfect “shhh” hand gesture, the actress already looks like a Liar, and we’re sure there are many more secrets she has to share with us… when the time comes.

The even better news is that even though The Perfectionists doesn’t have a premiere date just yet, joining this cast isn’t the only time you’ll be seeing Carson on an I. Marlene King project. In fact, last year Carson teased that she would be appearing on Freeform’s Famous in Love come season 2, which begins in April. Yay!

Which of Carson’s new roles are you most excited for, her appearance on Famous in Love, or her role on The Perfectionists? Let us know in the comments.
