The trailer for Mindy Kaling’s new series Champions is finally here, and there are a few familiar faces, and hilarious Broadway references throughout.

On Wednesday (Jan. 31), Kaling shared the first trailer for her upcoming comedy, which she stars in (not as the lead this time), and is the creator of (she’s the executive producer and one of the writers) and we can barely contain our excitement.

“Meet the @nbcchampions on March 8th! They’re the best, and I’m definitely not biased #Champions,” Kaling captioned the trailer on her Instagram.

Champions is about a gym owner named Vince (played by Anders Holm) who lives with his handsome brother Matthew (played by Andy Favreau) and together the two are living that bachelor lifestyle. That all changes, however, when Vince discovers he has a son named Michael (played by J.J. Totah) from a high school fling with Kaling’s character, Priya. Hilarity ensues when Priya leaves Michael with his father in New York City, because it’s always been a dream of his to reside in NYC.

In addition to meeting the comedy’s characters in this trailer, we also learned that a few Mindy Project stars have made the jump to Champions. Of course Kaling herself is one of them, and so is Holm, who played one of Dr. Mindy Lahiri’s many boyfriends, Casey, on the Hulu series. Fortune Feimster (who you might remember as Colette Kimball-Kinney) will also be on this new show as one of Vince’s gym employees named Ruby.

Fingers crossed even more stars from The Mindy Project show up on the first season of Champions, which begins this spring. Until then, watch the trailer above, prepare to laugh at all of the Broadway shout outs, like the Les Miserables comment, and many other funny moments.

Champions premieres March 8, 2018 at 8:30 p.m. on NBC.
