Fans already know that Niall Horan has a big year of touring ahead of him, but now the Irish singer is planning on having the “biggest weekend” ever come May, and UK fans should be pumped.
The “This Town” singer has officially joined the lineup for BBC 1’s The Biggest Weekend music festival and he’s ready to perform in front of the UK’s biggest audiences this spring.
“Swansea, see you in May at @bbcr1’s #BiggestWeekend,” Horan simply tweeted on Wednesday (Feb. 7) along with a fun poster for the festival.
This year, the UK will be hosting The Biggest Weekend, to fill the void for fans who would normally attend Glastonbury, which is having its traditional “fallow year” according to the Independent. Unlike Glastonbury, this festival will be held in four different locations across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
While you might be guessing that Horan would sing in Ireland, since he is an Irishman, he is actually slated to joining the Swansea, Wales lineup, and his fellow performers are equally as fantastic.
No matter which location you attend, there are two days of amazing acts in each spot. Swansea on Saturday, May 26, 2018 — which is where Horan will be — will have Ed Sheeran as the headliner and four additional acts to kick off the day. On Sunday, May 27, 2018, there will be two acts in addition to the “Slow Hands” singer. Sounds pretty amazing, wouldn’t you say?
