Selena Gomez is Harper Bazaar’s latest cover girl and she’s opening up about well, everything.

As the cover star of Harper Bazaar’s March issue, Gomez revealed her personal style (it’s casual), her first major fashion purchase (a Louis Vuitton laptop case), her typical Saturday night, and she didn’t stop there. Gomez also talked music, and why fans have had to wait so long to hear it all.

“I don’t really set goals ’cause I don’t want to be disappointed if I don’t reach them, but I do want to work on my music too,” Gomez told actress Katherine Langford for Harper’s Bazaar when asked if she thought 2018 would be better than 2017. “My next album has been forever in the making.”

When it comes down to why this next record has been “forever in the making,” the “Wolves” singer got real and we appreciate her honesty.

“When people ask me why, I’m honest about it: It’s because I haven’t been ready. I mean, point-blank, I don’t feel confident enough in where my music is yet. If that takes 10 years, then it takes 10 years. I don’t care,” she admitted. “Right now I just want to be super intentional with all of the things I’m doing.”

While you might not like the idea of waiting 10 years to hear Gomez’s next full album, you have to give the actress and singer props for always staying true to herself and her desire to always want to put out the best possible product.

Now all we need is for Gomez to release a little teaser… that’s not too much to ask for right?
