Stop everything: Jennifer Garner is coming back to TV!

As many fans know, the last time we saw Garner on television was as Sydney Bristow on the hit series Alias, which ended in 2006. More than 10 years later fans are finally getting a chance at Garner back on their TV screens again as a lead character, but this show isn’t like Alias at all… it’s a comedy.

According to TV Line, Garner will be playing Kathryn Siddell-Bauers, a “controlling LA mom who is far less cheerful than her Lululemons imply,” on the upcoming HBO comedy Camping.

As the title hints, this comedy — it’s an eight-episode limited series — will in fact revolve around a camping trip. Things, however, don’t go to plan, “when the camping trip gathers Kathryn’s meek sister, holier than thou ex-best friend and a free-spirited tagalong in one place,” the official logline reads.

This sounds so interesting and unlike anything we’ve seen Garner star in over the years. The actress does however have a variety of acting credits to her name including romantic comedies like 13 Going on 30, action dramas like Alias, and Oscar-winning films like Dallas Buyers Club, so we’re happy to see her switching it up once again.

We can’t wait to watch this limited series!
