Ed Sheeran might be one of your favorite musicians, but Sheeran has his own favorites, and his favorites could be coming on tour with him.
On Friday (Feb. 9), Sheeran gave Marshmello and Anne-Marie a massive shout out for their new collaboration together, and he added in a fun tease for his fans as well, and we’re definitely intrigued.
“Haven’t got anything to do with this tune, I just think it’s a banger and you should check it out,” Sheeran wrote on Instagram alongside the single art for this duos collab. “Plus, one of them might be joining some of the European tour… play it loud yo x.”
Okay, so the first thing you should do is listen to Marshmello and Anne-Marie’s loudly (Sheeran said to do it, so why not do it?), and then take a moment to think about the fact that one of these performers could be heading out on tour with Sheeran this year.
The “Perfect” singer recently added new dates to his North American Stadium Tour for 2018 – which is promoting his most-recent ÷ (Divide) record – like another Gillette Stadium date, but he hasn’t revealed any of his tour openers just yet.
While we know this tease is simply a tease and not a definite confirmation that either Marshmello or Anne-Marie will be singing on Sheeran’s tour, it does give us a glimpse at possible opening acts for this 2018 leg of the tour and it’s big news.
Which act would you like to see join Sheeran on stage this year during his US leg? What about his European leg? Let us know in the comments below.
