Good news, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt fans.
On Wednesday (Feb. 14), Jane Krakowski, who stars as Jacqueline White, stopped by Kathie Lee and Hoda to talk all about the future of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, confirming that the series is coming back for a fourth season!
“We finished filming season three a year ago… we are thrilled to go back tomorrow,” Krakowski said on Today’s Kathie Lee and Hoda.
In addition to going back to work, Krakowski confirmed that the new season will be premiering in the spring. Fans should, however, brace themselves for one big change when the comedy starring Ellie Kemper returns. According Krakowski, because it’s been so long since fans have had new episode, there will only be six episodes when the first part of the season drops in May.
“I also have really good news about our show. Because it’s been so long, we’re going release the first six episodes on May 30th,” Krakowski explained. “We’re going to shoot them and get them out as quickly as possible, so we don’t have to make our fans and audiences wait so long.”
E! News has confirmed that the first part of season four will only be six episodes, but there will be more episodes for this upcoming season debuting later, so six episodes won’t be all we get from the hilarious comedy this year.
Any Kimmy Schmidt time is good with us, so six episodes now and perhaps six or more later sounds awesome!
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt returns for season 4 on May 30, 2018 on Netflix.
