Lorde is gearing up for a big tour in support of her latest album Melodrama, and after that she might be taking a little break from the spotlight — and who could blame her?

On Friday (Feb. 16), Lorde gave her fans a tour update on her Instagram Story, revealing that the upcoming series of performances will include never-before-heard tracks, which is really exciting. Plus, she revealed just how ready she is to see her fans back on stage once again, and we are so ready to watch her sing.

“Just wanted to drop you a message that tour rehearsals are going well. It’s all very exciting. I think you’re going to be quite excited for this tour,” she said on her Instagram story via Billboard. “I may or may not have dug up a song that we wrote during the Melodrama sessions that didn’t make it. One that I really love.”

In addition to teasing the one song that “I really love,” the New Zealand native admitted that although she’s going big on this Melodrama Tour — as we all know based on her recent Twitter updates — she will also be taking a brief breather back at home once the tour wraps up.

“This is sort of the big elaborate farewell to this album. I’m going to do a couple more shows then go home,” she said in the video.

Okay, we know that you’re a little upset that Lorde is planning to take a break, but Melodrama was released back in June 2017, and written way before that, so the “Green Light” singer should be able to go all out on its tour and then take a break from its hype. Plus, she’s not saying goodbye to music, just taking a well-deserved vacation.

The even better news is that you can see her on tour beginning again on March 1, 2018 for her North American leg, so it’s really time to celebrate, not panic!
