Get ready, Robyn fans, because another full-length album is coming your way at some point in 2018!
Earlier this month, Robyn took to Twitter to answer one fan’s big question about when new music might be on the way, and the singer’s answer is good news.
After one Twitter user asked, “Who decides your next album release date tbh,” Robyn gave her short, but to the point answer, and we are happy she did.
“I do. Some time this year honey,” she replied.
Although fans have heard a few new tracks over the past year or so, it’s been eight years since the Swedish singer released a full-album, and that is eight years too long in our minds. In 2010, the “Dancing On My Own” singer released Body Talk, which was technically her fifth, sixth and seventh albums — it was Body Talk Pt. 1, Body Talk Pt. 2, and Body Talk all in one year.
In 2015 she released two singles, “Love Is Free” and “Set Me Free,” which were awesome, but now she’s gearing up for a complete record and it’s huge for fans of the 38-year-old artist.
While we don’t have a release date, or even an inkling of what types of songs will be on this upcoming record — not to mention what it will be called — any news from Robyn about fresh tracks is good news for her fans.
Fingers crossed she does release this next record sooner rather than later, making 2018 another big year for music and music lovers.
