Let the party begin! Meghan Trainor has officially announced the first single off her next record, and there’s no excuses as to why you won’t like it.
On Thursday (Feb. 22), Trainor gave her fans the news they’ve all been waiting for… the title of the first song from her upcoming third album. It’s called “No Excuses,” and we can’t wait to hear it.
“My first single off my third album is called No Excuses 💘 #NOEXCUSES,” Trainor tweeted along with a short clip from a what appears to be a music video for the track. Unfortunately, there is no sound to go with this teaser, but Trainor looks fierce and sassy on the camera, which we’re thinking is going to transfer over into the song itself.
The “I’m a Lady” singer also shared a quick look at her family on set for the music video for “No Excuses,” earlier this week, proving once again that this record is definitely a family affair.
“The family made it to the video shoot for the first single! ❤ ..video coming soon,” Trainor wrote on Instagram with the sweet video with her family.
“No Excuses” will be the first track off Trainor’s third record, which she’s been teasing for a very long time at this point. The record is due out this year, and according to the singer it will have a lot of “in your face” songs.
Although we don’t have an official release date for her new single, or her complete album, this teaser is making is feel like everything is coming sooner rather than later.
