Bad news, Big Sean fans, the rapper is putting his upcoming tour on hold.
After announcing his Unfriendly Reminder Tour earlier this month, Big Sean has since postponed his tour, and as of now has yet to reveal when, if at all, he’ll pick it back up.
Fans first heard the news of the “Bounce Back” singer’s concert postponement after they received emails informing them that they could get a refund for the shows they’d already bought tickets from. There were also notifications on venue sites such as CFE Arena in Orlando and H-E-B Center in Austin telling fans why the “Blessings” singer would be taking a break from this tour.
“To all my fans: I’ve been in a deep creative space and decided I need to stay focused in the studio – so, unfortunately, I am postponing my upcoming tour,” Big Sean wrote in a statement on the venue websites. “I learned in life you have to follow your intuition — I hope you do the same. Thank you for your continued love and support. It means the world to me. Trust, we are working on something special for you all.”
Big Sean later announced his tour cancellation — or technically pause — on his Twitter account with the same message and fans are definitely upset by the news. The only good side to Big Sean stepping away from life on the road is that he will be working on new music instead. That means a new album sooner rather than later, which let’s be honest is always a good thing.
