Have you been missing seeing Alyson Hannigan on TV? We have! Luckily, the actress is heading back to the small screen, so get ready.
After wrapping How I Met Your Mother back in 2014, Hannigan has been busy being a mom and occasionally taking on a role or two, but now she’s going back to television and we all have Kerry Washington to thank for it.
According to TV Line, Washington is producing a new pilot for ABC, and Hannigan has signed on to be the lead.
While it’s only a pilot, and has yet to be picked up to series, we are already excited about Hannigan’s newest TV venture. She will be playing Jessie on Man of the House, a comedy about divorced sisters raising their kids under one roof, TV Line reports. The kicker is that the two sisters have to navigate raising their children, one of which is a son, who is trying to figure out manhood in a house full of women.
When it comes to Hannigan’s character Jessie, here’s what we know: she is now a single mom after her husband left her, and even though she’s a social worker, this solo mom stuff is hard work.
ABC’s pilots for the 2018-2019 are clearly on fire, and with Hannigan working on Washington’s new project, this one could be the best of them all.
