Pilot season just keeps getting better and better! Case in point: Dax Shepard is returning to TV, and we’re major fans of his new project.

Since Parenthood wrapped in 2015, Shepard has popped up on a few different series over the past few years, including Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, in addition to voicing a few characters on shows like Robot Chicken, but a new comedy pilot for Fox could bring the actor back to TV on a more regular basis.

According to Variety, the CHIPS actor will both act and executive produce in the upcoming pilot Bless This Mess, which comes from the brilliant mind of New Girl creator Liz Meriwether.

Bless This Mess revolves around a newlywed couple living in New York City who decide to move to Nebraska for a simpler life, only to discover that it’s not exactly what they had in mind. Shepard with be playing Mike, the husband on the show, while Lake Bell, who is also a co-creator with Meriwether, will be playing his on-screen wife, Rio.

While the title of the comedy pilot implies that these two newlywed’s lives are a mess, but blessed, with so much star power and talent backing up the show, we have a feeling it’s going to be a winner.
