It’s a big week for James Bay! The singer announced three pieces of news regarding his music that his fans will love.
For starters, Bay released a new single called “Pink Lemonade,” which is a follow up to his recent single, “Wild Love.” What’s even better news is that “Pink Lemonade” is going to be featured on Bay’s sophomore album, which is coming out in a few months!
“Album two ELECTRIC LIGHT. May 18th 2018,” Bay tweeted on Wednesday (March 7) with the album’s cover art. According to Bay, Electric Light will be a departure from the singer’s debut record, because it shows the artist’s evolution and change in his sound.
“If I had to describe my first album visually it would probably be a flame – while this new album is about a real sonic and artistic evolution for me,” Bay said in a press release via NME. “The feeling of a 100-watt bulb expanding and brightening is what I envisioned. Electric Light came to my mind and I knew it was perfect.”
In addition to a new single, an official album release date — it’s May 18, 2018, don’t forget! — Bay revealed that he will be going out on tour to promote the new record later this year. He will be performing in the UK, Europe and North America, so get ready.
His newest North American dates will begin on September 13, 2018 in Atlanta, and then go all over the US including stops in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Denver and more. Check out the full details on Bay’s upcoming tour here.
