ABC’s new comedy pilot, Man of the House, has found its second leading lady!
With pilot season underway, network television is focused on any, and all, new pilots for the 2018-2019 TV season, and ABC has just added another big star to one of its potential new series. According to Deadline, Leslie Bibb has landed the role of co-lead, opposite How I Met Your Mother alum Alyson Hannigan, in the Man of the House pilot.
The American Housewife star is set to play Charli in the pilot, which will focus on two recently divorced sisters (played by Bibb and Hannigan) who decide to raise their kids all under one roof. Out of all the kids, there is only one son, who must try and figure out how to be “the man of the house” while being surrounded by women everywhere he turns.
As for Bibb’s character? Charli isn’t exactly like her sister, who is described as a sweet social worker. Instead Charlie is described as someone “who wakes up every morning looking for a fight because it’s the only thing that makes her feel alive.”
Clearly the two sisters are opposites, and their dynamic should lead to a lot of comedic relief for fans to enjoy week after week — assuming the pilot gets picked up for a full season order.
