Megan Ferguson has officially been added to the Mixtape pilot cast.

Deadline reports that Ferguson, who is best known for playing Peaches in The Fundamentals of Caring, has joined the cast of Fox’s upcoming musical drama, Mixtape. She will have a series regular role opposite Callie Hernandez, who will portray an artist who put her own musical aspirations on hold to focus on her musician boyfriend and work at an arts college.

Mixtape comes from Smash showrunner Josh Safran and will be directed by Jesse Peretz. The show centers on a disparate group of people who are interconnected in contemporary Los Angeles through their music and the music that defines each of their stories.

Ferguson will play Gigi, who is the best friend of Hernandez’s character Nellie. Although not much has been released about Ferguson’s character in the musical drama pilot, the actress herself has been getting one break after the other recently.

In addition to Hernandez, Ferguson will be starring alongside Revenge alum Madeleine Stowe, who is set to play Margot, a woman who controls and calculates all of her moves, while trying not to get rundown in the process.
